Synome Ltd is a preclinical research organisation that utilises innovative approaches to the study of the central nervous system. Our science focuses on the function of synapses – the connections between nerve cells - and their key role in human disease. We specialise in bringing together molecular and genetic methods with studies of electrophysiology and behaviour for the purpose of translation into treatment of human diseases. We provide pharmaceutical companies with specialised profiling of genetic and other models of brain disorders and screening of pharmacologically active substances. In parallel with contract research activities, Synome is establishing its own portfolio of in-house drug targets.
